Our explorations

Our design explorations for this project depended on the resources we already had in hand and the extra materials we needed to purchase to complete this project. We wanted to avoid spending too much money to purchase things that are not really necessary for the construction of the wall.

Here are a few explorations of how we could have disassembled and recycled the pallets that we got for free. In some cases, we tried exploring the use of plastic bottles as pots for the plants.

The following explorations shows how the green wall (using pallets) can sit in front of a typical brick veneer wall. We are exploring this option as the house that we decided to build this project in is already a brick veneer construction, therefore we can just build the 'green wall facade system' for the existing wall.
